I (70 years) shall be spending one day only (June 30) with my 3 grandsons (20-17-16) in Interlaken. Is there a DAY CARD like Zurich that we can use for moving around? if not, what is the alternatives?

You don’t say how you are arriving in Interlaken or where you are going afterwards. Do you have some other form of Swiss Transport System Pass?

There is a Guest Card which is offered by hotels etc. See http://www.interlaken.ch/en/i nformation-and-journey-to-interlaken/travel-tips-interlaken/guest-card-and-holiday-passes-interlaken.html and http://www.swissholidayco.com /Travel-Passes/Interlaken-Visitors-Pass. As far as I know you can’t just buy that pass if you are not staying in accommodation in Interlaken.

We shall be coming from Geneva with a Regional Pass (Geneva-Alps) and returning back to Geneva.

Hotel guests get a visitor card but that doesn’t apply to you as a day guest: http://www.myswissalps.com/in terlaken/travel. There’s not much to do in Interlaken itself actually, I’d recommend to focus on the region rather than the town. The pass that you have gets you a 50% discount on the boats from Spiez to Interlaken, so that might be worth it: http://www.myswissalps.com/re gionalpasslakegeneva/v alidity. For anything else you would have to buy regular tickets.
