Is Swiss Family Card same as Junior Travelcard?
A traveler, Sukunag, is planning a trip to Switzerland in July with their two kids, aged 9 and 14. They want to know if the Swiss Family Card allows their children to travel for free to Mt. Titlis, as the information about discounts on tickets can be confusing. They are also considering if they should instead buy Junior Travelcards for their kids.
- The Swiss Family Card allows children aged 6-15 to travel for free where the Swiss Travel Pass includes free or discounted travel for adults.
- For the cable car to Mt. Titlis, kids with the Swiss Family Card travel for free, so there's no need to buy Junior Travelcards.
- The Swiss Travel Pass offers a 50% discount on the return ticket for adults traveling to Mt. Titlis.

Hi,
We are planning to travel to Switzerland in July along with my two kids 9 and 14 years old. We will buy
Swiss Travel Pass for my husband and me and Family card for kids. Is Family card same as Junior Travelcard? The reason I am asking, I will betravelling to Mt. Titlis also and for Titlisticket it says: “100% discount for Tell Pass / Children aged 0 – 5 years / Children (6 – 15 years) with an SBB Junior/Grandchild travelcard and accompanied by a parent or grandparent”. Will mykids entry be free with Family card? Thanks.
