Hi, after studying the 3 suggested routes to Jungfraujoch, I was thinking of taking the Eiger Express up from Grindelwald Terminal and returning through Wengen/Lauterbrunnen. On the return trip, I could spend some time at either Wengen or Lauterbrunnen.

    1) Does this makes sense ?

    2) or should I do it the other way round ?

    Thanks

    Hi zeto,

Yes, a round trip to Jungfraujoch is a great way to explore the Jungfrau region. You can start from either Grindelwald or Wengen side – it’s up to you. The return ticket is valid on all routes, and you can break your journey along the way such as in Wengen and Lauterbrunnen.

    Regards,

    Anna

    Hi Anna

I posted earlier that my 3 day Interlaken itinerary as follows : Day 1 (Jungfraujoch), Day 2 (Lake Brienz/Grindelwald) and Day 3 (Schilthorn/Murren/Birg/Lauterbrunnen). It does not seem to make sense for me to get a 3-Day Jungfrau Travel Pass or 3-Day Top-of-Europe Pass since I I am not visiting the other peaks in the Jungfrau area. Can you advise if my understanding is correct :

    1) I think it may be better for me to buy a return ticket to Jungfraujoch from Grindelwald.

    2) my day 2 itinerary : Lake Brienz Cruise from OST, and train from Brienz to Grindelwald and back to OST is already covered by the Swiss Travel Pass

    3) my day 3 itinerary : travel from OST to Murren (including bus and cable car) is covered by the Swiss Travel Pass

    Hi zeto,

Thanks for sharing your itinerary in the Jungfrau region.

Based on your plans, I agree a Swiss Travel Pass may be sufficient as your mountain excursion is limited to Jungfraujoch. With the Swiss Travel Pass, you get a discount from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch. The rest of your trip is covered by the Swiss Travel Pass.

    Regards,

    Anna
