Lake Geneva Regional Pass – which buses covered?
A traveler is trying to figure out the bus services that the Lake Geneva Regional Pass covers. They are particularly unsure about routes in Montreux, Lausanne, and the Villeneuve-Aigle bus. Clear details about what’s included and excluded would help them plan their trip better.
- Most local buses within the region are included in the Lake Geneva Regional Pass, except for the Villeneuve-Vevey route.
- The M2 metro in Lausanne down to Ouchy is the only local service covered in that city.
- While local transport might be somewhat limited due to smaller town sizes, walking is a great way to explore places like Vevey and Montreux.
- If you stay in Montreux, you’ll receive a free Montreux Riviera Card that offers additional local transport options.

I’m having a little difficulty working out on which which bus services the Lake Geneva Regional Pass is valid. A few of the Post Bus services are shown on the validity map, and there’s a specific note that the Viileneuve-Vevey route is excluded from the offer. But I can’t find anything about the remainder – how about Montreux or Lausanne local services, or the Villeneuve-Aigle bus? Any information – or links to existing information – most welcome! Thanks.
