Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg with cycle
Happy Pants is planning a bike trip from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg and wants to know if they can get off the train at the intermediate stations, Allmend and Wengernalp, with a mountain bike. They also seek advice on cycling back from Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald and then to Interlaken.
- Check with the station in Lauterbrunnen to confirm bicycle rules for train stops.
- You can stop at Wengernalp and likely at Allmend, but be prepared to push a button for Allmend as it’s a request stop.
- Plan the cycling route as part of a larger trail between Interlaken and Grindelwald.
- For detailed biking maps, check Schweizmobil's website.

Hi
Could anyone please advise if you are able to get off the train from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg at the intermediate stations of Allmend and Wengernalp with a mountain bike. I know the track starts at Wengen to bike up to Kleine Scheidegg but if I’m pushed for time can I get off at Allmend or Wengernalp and still get on the bike track to KS ?
Also, how long would it take to cycle back down from Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald and then on to Interlaken ?
Thanks very much
HP
