Lauterbrunnen village and Trummelbach Falls

Short summary – read this first

Myfootstep is planning to explore Lauterbrunnen village and its waterfall and is looking for help on how to get to the town center from the train station. They want to know if the bus stop Lauterbrunnen Dorf is the right one.

Key takeaways:
  • From the train station, you can walk to Lauterbrunnen in about thirty minutes since it's a small village.
  • Make sure to visit the Trummelbach Falls on your way to or from Lauterbrunnen; they are definitely worth it.
  • Consider doing a scenic circuit: take the cable car to Grütschalp, then the train to Mürren, and follow your trip with visits to Gimmelwald and Stechelberg before heading back to Lauterbrunnen.

Hi myfootstep and welcome to MySwissAlps

You can probably explore Lauterbrunnen from the station in half an hour. It is not a big town.

From Lauterbrunnen a very nice circuit to do is to Grütschalp (cable car), Mürren (train), Gimmelwald (cable car), Stechelberg (cable car), Lauterbrunnen (bus). From Mürren you can easily visit Schiltorn and Allmendhubel if you have time. In between Stechelberg and Lauterbrunnen the bus stops at the Trummelbach Falls. Well worth a look. All these places are searcheable on the MySwissAlps website
