Hello Again,

We  reserved the Golden PAss Prestige on 7/11 and we have Saver Day pass and BO pass. Our trip from Interlaken OST departs 9:08 am. we want to do Cheese factory and (Chocolate factory to squeeze in a day) 🙂

So I was thinking to stop MOntbovon and to cheese factory first and then continue on Chocolate factory and from here to montreux

or go directly to Montreux do a sight seeing Fred Mercury and  Chillon Castle( we are not planning to do a castle tour inside.) and to Cheese factory from here back to Intelaken.

Is Le Gruyere Cheese factory and Cailler Choclate factory covered the entrance fee from our Saver day pass or BO PAss?

I know it’s hectic schedule, still asking your expertise. Please

Hi Karen,

Entrance to both the La Maison du Gruyère Cheese and Maison Cailler Chocolate factories are not covered or discounted by the Berner Oberland Pass or Saver Day Passes.

Note, if you have reserved your Prestige Class tickets for a ride on the GoldenPass (https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/goldenpass/) , hopping off at Montbovon to visit the cheese and chocolate factories, you would of course forfeit your seat reservation from Montbovon to Montreux.  If your intention was to board the GoldenPass again and you wanted to sit in Prestige Class again, you’d need another seat reservation.

Yes, a little hectic but doable.  Typically a visit to the La Maison du Gruyère, you’d allow an hour or so and for Maison Cailler, an hour and a half and of course your commute times back to Montreux if that was your plan.

Either options work, either direct to Montreux first, to visit the Freddie Mercury statue and Chillon Castle (https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/chillon-castle/) and then the factory visits en route back to Interlaken or hopping off at Montbovon first, to make your way to the factories. Just be mindful of the closing times of the factories.

I think I’d opt with Montreux first, that way you have extra time at the factories if you wanted?
