Any suggestions on shipping/forwarding luggage? Ideally we would like to send a bag home to US from Italy Malpensa airport but without major expense. Second alternative is to ship it home from Milan Train Station. Third alternative is to ship to Basel train station to be held for 12 days until we can pick it up, We prefer shipping from Milan but could ship from Locarno station when we arrive there after a few days in Italy.

I don’t know about the options from Milan, but for storage and shipping within Switzerland, please see http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/practical/luggage. You can definitely ship from Locarno to Basel and collect it 12 days later.
