Can I assume there is luggage storage at the main train station at Lucerne? IF so how does that work? Are they coin operated lockers or is it a drop off or something else? I have never had the opportunity to use one.

Hi pkerr! Yes, there are lockers in several sizes. You need CHF coins indeed. yes there are lockers near platform no 2 and 13. if your bags are very large then you need to check lockers near platform 13. you need chf coins and if you dont have coins you can get a note exchanged for coins on the platform itself.
