Luggage transport from USA to Zurich
A traveler from Philadelphia, PA, is planning a trip to Zurich, Switzerland, with a night stay in Lucerne. They are curious about the luggage handling process, specifically whether to have their bags sent straight to Lucerne from the airport or retrieve them in Zurich. They want reliable advice, as they will be staying for over two weeks.
- You can use the Fly Rail Baggage service to send your luggage from Philadelphia directly to Lucerne via Zurich Airport.
- If you arrive early in Zurich, you can pick up your luggage the same day; otherwise, you may receive it the next day.
- There's ample space on the train from Zurich to Lucerne for personal bags and suitcases.

We will be traveling from Philadelphia, PA (USA) to Zurich, Switzerland. I have heard that we would be able to check our luggage in Philly and could have it arrive in Switerland. I did some research. Still unsure of reliability and process of doing it. We will be landing in Zurich and heading to a hotel for one night in Lucerne. Could we have the luggage sent from Philly to Lucerne or would it be best to pick up in Zurich at airport if we did this. Does anyone have any experience with this. Seems very convenient, but a bit unsettling considering we could arrive and not have luggage and when you are staying for more than 2 weeks would be a convenience. Advice appreciated.
