Luzern / Pilatus with Bernese Oberland Pass
-
Hello,
We’re planning a day trip to Luzern and an excursion to Pilatus and we’re trying to determine if the Bernese – Oberland Regional Pass will cover all portions of the trip.
On this site’s link to Mt. Pilatus travel, there’s reference to a “Golden Round Trip” from Luzern by boat to Alpnachstad, and cog wheel train up to Pilatus. Then, returning by cable car down to Fräkmüntegg and change to the gondola to Kriens. Then the bus line #1 back to the Luzern train station.
There’s mention of what portion’s of that trip are covered by the “Swiss Travel Pass” but no specific reference to the Bernese – Oberland Regional Pass.
We will be based in Grindelwald and we know that the trains to and from Luzern would be at no cost with the B-O Pass. But what about the boat to Alpnachstad, the cog train up to Pilatus and the cable ways down, along with the bus back to Luzern?
Since the cable ways are discounted 50% with the Swiss Travel Pass, is it the same with the B-O Pass?
Thank You in Advance,
