Map of BO routes and Swiss Travel Pass coverage
Addierose is looking for clarification about the Swiss Travel Pass while planning a trip to the Wengen area near Interlaken. They are particularly confused about the recent changes to train lines and whether the pass provides the same benefits as the Swiss Half Fare Card. They want to understand pricing for the cog trains, funiculars, and trams in that region.
- Check the Swiss Travel Pass validity and updates on the maps for accurate details.
- The Schynige Platte railways are now free with the Swiss Travel Pass.
- To save time, consider purchasing the Swiss Travel Pass online to avoid queues at the station.
- If you buy the pass in Zurich, you'll avoid paying for the section from Buchs SG to Zurich, making the journey easier.

Help please. Still confused about the Swiss 1/2 Fare Card and the STP lines on the Map. The region of interest is the cog trains, funicular’s and trams above Interlaken in the Wengen area. Has there been recent changes? It looks like the lines are “solid” now where there use to be dotted lines. If you purchase the STP in this region Is the fare reduced 50% same as !/2 Fare Card thus you still have to buy tickets with the Swiss Travel Pass? Addierose
