Visit Matterhorn Glacier Paradise + Gornergrat in 1 day: best tickets?
A traveler named Andrea is planning a day trip to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Gornergrat in September. They want to know if each leg of their itinerary needs separate bookings and if it’s more cost-effective to use the Peak Pass with a half fare card. Andrea is seeking budget-friendly options for their trip.
- You do not need to book each leg of your itinerary separately; regular tickets are sufficient.
- The Peak Pass is not economical for a one-time visit; use the Swiss Half Fare Card for discounts instead.
- Check the Zermatt guide for detailed information on transportation and attractions.

Hi everyone. We are planning on doing the Glacier paradise and Gornegatt in one day.
i saw an option with this itinerary:
Cable car to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise > then Trochener Steg > Schawarzsee > Furi > Zermatt > ride the gornegatt railway to GornegattIs each of these leg had to be booked separately? Also would it be more economically to do peak pass (with half fare card)? We are travelling September so peak2peak is not an option sadly.
thank you
