If it’s only a day trip, I do not think the Peak Pass would be economical. It would probably make more sense to just buy the regular tickets discounted with your Swiss Half Fare Card.
The Peak Pass is beneficial if you plan to visit Gornergrat, Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Sunnegga-Rothorn more than once.
