One week trip to Switzerland from India

Short summary – read this first

A traveler named Joshiy02 is planning a week-long trip to Switzerland in mid-September with their family of three. They will stay in Interlaken, visiting nearby attractions like Mt. Titlis and Jungfraujoch, and are seeking advice on budget hotels close to the station and recommendations on the Swiss Travel Pass for convenience during their excursions.

Key takeaways:
  • Consider booking hotels through platforms like booking.com or Airbnb for a range of budget options.
  • The Swiss Travel Pass is highly recommended for unlimited travel and ease during your excursions.
  • There are Indian grocery stores near Interlaken West station for your cooking needs, so consider bringing spices from home.
  • Staying at a hotel near Zurich airport on your last night can be a convenient option with reasonable prices.

    Hi Joshiy02,

A link to hotels in Interlaken, including budget hotels, was already given in the first reply here: http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/unguided-swiss-family-tours-for-week-in-september. Do none of these hotels suit your needs? If not, then please share your travel dates, budget and number of travelers.

Pl evaluate options on booking.com Airbnb etc. I tried searching options on http://www.e-domizil.ch but results come in German. Hope forum members here can help sorting this out. We stayed at an apartment and we could prepare breakfast and dinner. Pl carry indian spices. There is Indian grocery store near Interlaken west station. You can spend last night in hotel Zurich airport where hotel prices are reasonable.
