A traveler named Yshu Krishna is planning a trip in March and is looking for information about open towers and waterfalls. They discovered that the Nine Towers in Lucerne and Trümmelbach Falls are closed during this time and are seeking alternatives to visit.
Key takeaways:
You can see Trümmelbach Falls from a distance in March, but the paid path opens only in April.
For March, consider visiting the Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall, which is always open.
The Musegg Towers in Lucerne can only be visited from April, but they can be seen from outside anytime.
Explore other castles in the region as many are accessible throughout March.

Hello Yshu krishna.
Trümmelbach Falls of course are not switched off during the winter. Only the pay-for path opens from April to November. You can see the falls at any time from a distance, though. There is however less water falling in the winter.
Towers. I suppose you refer to the Nine Towers of Lucerne. Indeed, visits are possible only from April on, but they, too, can be seen from outside any time. There are plenty of castles that you can visit in March, it is impossible to list them all.

And of course the Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfalls, are also in Switzerland, whereas slightly in another corner of the country: – http://www.myswissalps.com/rhinefalls
With regards to towers I can’t think of any in the area apart from the Musegg towers in Lucerne, as not too many old fortification walls are still intact in Switzerland. Maybe another member has a spontaneous idea..?! Maybe this “Walk along the Lake Lucerne castles” could be of interest for you. Hope this provides some guidance, feel free to get back to us anytime for further input.

Hi Steph – Not so spontaneous, but here are some possible ideas:
