    Hey all,

We will be making a last minute trip to Switzerland next week. We want to self drive from Geneva to Zurich making a few stops along the way. However, we aren’t comfortable mountain drivers if the weather isn’t ideal. Would love any advice on routes, avoiding sticky passes, etc. Thanks so much… We’ll be in a rental so vignette should covered.

    Hi Abby,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

You may want to take a look at our driving guide in the attached link:

Lausanne (https://www.myswissalps.com/town/lausanne/)  is very pretty and would make a nice stopping point. As would Bern (https://www.myswissalps.com/town/bern/).

May I ask, what sort of time frame are you working with? How long is your trip or is the plan to drive from Geneva to Zurich in a day? Or is the plan to overnight somewhere too?

We have a few sample car itineraries here, that you can also take a look at:  https://www.myswissalps.com/planning/itineraries/road-trips/

I hope this gets you started.

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda
