September: Pilatus toboggan ride, book in advance?
A traveler is planning a visit to Mt. Pilatus from Luzern in September and is curious about the toboggan ride at the Fräkmüntegg station. They want to know if they need to buy tickets in advance or if they can simply show up and purchase them on-site.
- You can buy tickets for the toboggan ride at the vending machine after getting off the cable car, no advance reservation is required.
- The average wait time for the ride is about 10 minutes around mid-afternoon.
- There are lockers available for storing your belongings at the ride location.
- The ticket prices are 9 CHF for adults and 7 CHF for kids/youth.

I will be heading up to Mt. Pilatus from Luzern in Sep. and thinking about doing the Tobbogan ride when coming down the cable car (i.e. stopping at the Fraketemegg station). Question – are advanced tickets and/or reservations required for this ride? Or do I simply show up, wait in line and buy the ticket there?
