I just returned from my trip to Switzerland. I too had a Swiss Travel Pass (15-day). I rode from Lauterbrunnen to the top of the Schilthorn. My bus ride from Lauterbrunned to Stechelberg was covered by the Swiss Travel Pass. At the cable car station in Stechelberg, I showed my Swiss Travel Pass to the agent selling tickets. She confirmed for me that my pass made it free to travel up to Murren and back. She then sold me a reduced price ticket from Murren up to Schilthorn. My advice is to not purchase any mountain ride tickets in advance of your trip – due to weather possibilities. Just purchase them from the agent when you arrive at the particular cable car/cog train/etc. Clarify your situation with the agent and they will sell you the correct ticket. They are very good and fast at this.

With a Swiss Travel Pass, the price from Murren to Schilthorn is 42.80 CHF per person, round trip (return). You can see various route and price options here:

    schilthorn.ch/en/Tickets

You don’t see discounted price until you select a route and dates/times.
