    Hello Again Everyone,

I have been looking for things to do in Interlaken and found that panorama bridge is a good view and one of the top things as well. I am going with family and we are doing hikes so this is one of the things we are all interested in. We all have swiss travel pass and we will be visiting the panaroma bridge on July 7th. I have been trying to figure out whether the swiss travel pass covers the panaroma bridge or even does a half cost. So, does the swiss travel pass cover the Panaroma Bridge Sigriswil or do I have to pay full fare?

The ‘panorama bridges’ in the Swiss alps are a new phenomenon, based on modern bridge construction thinking and design, Some, like Sigriswil are toll bridges just like on major road bridges around the world. Others are public footbridges where you don’t have to pay.

I can’t see a discount for pass holders except that there is a meagre 1 CHF reduction (CHF 7 instead of CHF8) for holders of Interlaken guest card.

Sigriswil isn’t the only bridge of this type in existence now. Try an internet search or look at online mapping for the phrase ‘ Hängebrücke’

    Hi Devthekar,

With the Swiss Travel Pass, you can travel for free on the train/bus all the way to Sigriswil Dorf to access the Sigriswil panorama bridge. To cross the bridge though you would need to pay an admission fee of CHF8. This is not covered by the Swiss Travel Pass. However if you are staying in the Interlaken area, you will get a visitor card that provides discount on the admission ticket. About a year and a half ago my husband and I visited the bridge and at the ticket booth they asked if we were tourists staying at a local hotel. We mentioned we were staying in Hunibach and we paid 1/2 price, but according to what everyone else is saying, I can’t promise it. Maybe we were just lucky? Or was it because we had the Thun area guest card?

Yes, I just checked and the Thunersee guest card is 50% off for the bridge.

    Hi Gailanski,

    Thanks for your input.

Indeed you pay half-price if you have the PanoramaCard Thunersee.

    Regards,

    Anna
