Interlaken Guest Card: ticket from Wilderswil only for mountain trips?
A traveler is planning a 5-day trip to Interlaken in July, focusing on day trips to the mountains like Schilthorn and Jungfrau. They want to know if they only need to buy a ticket from Wilderswil instead of more expensive tickets from Interlaken since they have an Interlaken Guest Card for local transport.
- You can use the Interlaken Guest Card for free transport between Interlaken and Wilderswil, so buy tickets starting from Wilderswil for your day trips.
- If you're planning multiple mountain excursions, consider getting the Jungfrau Travel Pass for better value and convenience.

We’re staying 5 days in Interlaken (July), and will be spending at least 2 days day tripping up the mountains (eg Schilthorn, Jungfrau). Given we will have an Interlaken Guest Card (free public transport within local area – eg to Wilderswil in the South), does that mean that we’d only need to buy a train ticket from Wilderswil to where we are going instead of from Interlaken (which is dearer!)
