To Jungfraujoch by cable car and back by train
A traveler is planning a trip to Jungfraujoch, intending to use a cable car from Interlaken Ost for the ascent and a train for the return. They are unsure if they need separate tickets for these different modes of transport and how the Swiss Travel Pass discounts apply.
- You can travel to Jungfraujoch by cable car from Grindelwald or by cogwheel train from Wengen, and it's recommended to use different modes of transport for the trip up and down.
- With a Swiss Travel Pass, you only need to purchase tickets for the sections you are traveling, as both modes offer a 25% discount.
- Always check the timetable to plan your journey effectively, and feel free to ask for help at ticket counters if you have questions.

hi there,
would like to ask regarding the way to Jungfrauhoch.
Im planning to go to Jungfraujoch by cable car from Interlaken Ost using cable car, and go way back by using the train.
I understand that if i buy a train ticket, it will be price for return by using same mood of transportation (in this case is train) .
Do I need to pay separately for the tickets if i plan to go by using for cable car and back by train?
both mood is having 25% off with swiss travel pass?
thank you.
