    Hi Thao,

A roundtrip ticket to Jungfraujoch is usually valid the whole day. You can ascend via Wengen and return via Grindelwald or the other way around. And you are allowed to hop on and hop off if you wish. However if you have made seat reservation, this reservation is only valid for the specific connection you choose.

Hi Anna, I am planning a trip up to Jungfrajoch in mid May. When I log into the website above and try to book, it automatically puts in a seat reservation for going up, which I presume I needed to meet the schedule time . Should I miss that timing, can I still go up at a different timing but need to join the queue ?

As I understand the weather can be unpredictable until closer to the date , what is a good time to buy the ticket eg one or two days before the plan trip ?

    Thank you.

    Hi TimT,

For excursion to Jungfraujoch, seat reservation is now mandatory if you are travelling between May and August. If you are not sure what time you’ll be travelling for the ascent, I would recommend purchasing your ticket and seat reservation on the day or the day before travelling after checking the weather forecast and mountain webcam.

    Regards,
    Anna

    Hi Anna,

Many thanks for the inputs, this is very helpful. Am I right to assume that there are no issues in buying tickets/seats a day before the going up ?

    Regards,

    Tim

    Hi Tim,

Not at all, so yes you can purchase a day before.

You can find some handy online purchase options here, scroll to “Where to buy Jungfraujoch tickets and tours: recommended webshops”.

The mandatory seat reservation, head to “Other websites of interest” and you’ll see the link to book.

    Have a great trip.

    Kind regards,
    Yolanda
