Traveling the Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur
A traveler plans to visit Switzerland by train from Milan and specifically wants to take the Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur before heading to Interlaken. They are looking for the timetable for the Bernina Express as the schedules they found only show southbound trains.
- The Bernina Express runs from Tirano to Chur twice daily during summer, departing at 08:06 and 14:24.
- Make sure to check the official Bernina Express timetable for the most accurate train times.
- After reaching Chur, you can connect to Interlaken by traveling via Zurich for an evening arrival.

We will be travelling to Switzerland by train from Milan. Is it possible to plan a trip from Milan to Interlaken that includes a ride on the Bernina Express? I can get us to Tirano; then I’d like to travel north on the Bernina to Chur, and from there, take another train to Interlaken (I anticipate that this will make for a long day). It sounds like the Bernina Express runs from Tirano to Chur, but I can’t find a timetable anywhere that tells me when the train departs; all the of timetables seem to show the southbound schedule only.
Thanks in advance for your help.
