Wengen in late August – air conditioning
Vince is planning a 3-night stay in Wengen from August 23 to 25 and is unsure if air conditioning will be necessary for comfort during the nights. He seeks advice from the community about the typical weather conditions in the area during that time.
- In late August, you can keep windows open to stay cool at night, so A/C is likely not needed.
- Most hotels in Wengen provide portable fans in case of warm weather, so check with your hotel in advance.
- Even during warm days, temperatures usually drop at night, so a sweater is recommended for evenings out.

Hi all,
I booked a 3 nights hotel in Wengen for late August (Aug 23 – 25), and found out the room doesn’t have air conditioning. Would A/C be needed at that time for a nights? Thank you.
Vince
