I’m renting a car for my Swiss trip – after looking at all the options, it was the best for us. But I know I can’t drive into Zermatt. But where is the best / last place to catch the train? Visp?

You can drive as far as Tasch where there is a massive car park and from there you go by train. I don’t know about the cost of parking as we never use a car in Switzerland. If you want to experience a scenic train trip then you can catch a train in Visp, yes, but the furthest you can drive is Tasch.
