Which restaurants are the best in the area?

Short summary – read this first

A traveler is planning a summer trip to Interlaken with their baby and is looking for a nice restaurant for a couple of evenings when they can dine without the child. They specifically want Swiss cuisine, particularly cheese fondue and rösti, and would like recommendations for places that are open late, ideally allowing dinner around 20:30 or 21:00.

Key takeaways:
  • Check out the Best Western Hotel Bernerhof for Swiss dishes, including cheese fondue and rösti, and it's located next to Interlaken West rail station.
  • For a great view, consider dining at Top o'Met, which also serves delicious Swiss cuisine.

    Hi,
While traveling with a baby during summer and stay near interlaken we have 1-2 evenings without the baby for ourselves and searching for a good restaurant in the area. We would like at least one evening to have a swiss dinner especially excellent cheese fondu and rusti. Also we prefer a place that is open until late (if we can to have dinner around 20:30 or 21:00). We will have a car with us so we can drive.

    Appreciate any help!!

    Hi bat23,

When you walk around Interlaken you’ll see plenty of restaurants offering cheese fondue and rösti. One of them is the Best Western Hotel Bernerhof. It offers warm Swiss dishes all day long (I don’t know until what time exactly). It’s located next to the Interlaken West rail station so you don’t need a car to get there. The hotel is listed on our Interlaken page as well. For a good view, I would recommend Top o’Met.
