We are staying 12 days in Switzerland and would like to purchase the Swiss travel pass. However, it is only applicable for 8 or 15 days… Is there any 12 days pass? If not, what are other options we can take for cheaper tickets?

    Hi val123,

There is no 12-day Swiss Travel Pass. I’m thinking of a couple of options:

    1. Plan your first and/or last few days in such a way that traveling is limited. Use a local city pass or no pass. A disadvantage of this is that you limit yourself on these days. If the weather is good you would normally want to do the more expensive trips into the mountains.
    2. Get an 8-day Swiss Travel Pass Flex Combi, so that you can spread your 8 days and get 50% discounted tickets on the days in between.
    3. Get a 15-day Swiss Travel Pass anyway. It’s “just” CHF 77 extra and simplifies things quite a bit. The additional costs are even less if you buy your pass online as these prices are lower than in Switzerland. In your case this is even cheaper than option 2. The flex pass is relatively expensive.

    Does this help you out?
