Hello to all forum members and the moderat0rs of the greatest forum on the web!

I plan a trip to Stanserhorn and Pilatus in 1 day – 11AUG2015. The departure point is Stans, where we’ve already booked a hotel. We’ve got First class Swiss travel passes flex.

What do you think – is it possible to make this trip in one day ?

Which direction will be the first in the morning – Stanserhorn or Pilatus? No need to go back to Stans between the two destinations.

What will be the best itinerary for this trip?

Thank you in advance for your help. 🙂

    Yes.

Next question- why would you? One might be enough.

    Hi omika,

Thanks for your compliments! It’s a bit much, but you can certainly visit both mountains on one day. Make sure the weather is good and leave early. The order does not matter that much. A reason to do Mount Pilatus second is that you can end in Lucerne, to have dinner for example. So in that case you’d go up from Alpnachstad and down to Kriens.
