Any hikes from rail stop into Pontresina?

we're coming into Pontresina s from Chur in late September and wondering if there are 2-4hr hikes along the way where you can get off the train and then get back on at a later rail stop ... or would just hiking around Pontresina be the best plan? Thanks! Steve

Welcome to MySwissAlps! You'll find various hiking suggestions on myswissalps.com/ graubunden/ activities. Bergün to Preda is an option. There are construction works in Preda because of a new rail tunnel, but the rest of the trail should be fine. Preda to Bever is another option. If you only walk as far as Spinas it's one hour less. And finally you can consider Muottas Muragl to Alp Languard.
