Our plan is to take a single way train ticket from Chur to Tirano with the Bernina Express train. Then from Tirano we will get a local train to St. Moritz (they go on every hour, right?). And then we will take another local train to Landquart from St. Moritz that will take us to Chur. Can You please tell me what is the cheapest way of buying the tickets, and what kind of tickets to buy? And is there a discount for adults over 62 years of age?

    Hi Makica,

If you aren’t planning on buying a rail pass, like the Swiss Travel Pass for your trip (which may save you money depending on how much travel you do while in Switzerland) you can buy point to point tickets online here.

If you need help deciding between a rail pass and point to point tickets, have a look at our information page on How to choose the best rail pass. There are no discounts that I’m aware of for adults over 62.

You can find the train schedules for all trips here to help you plan.

“The itinerary had great detail and a good choice of activities in each location. Very helpful to group things that can be done in the same day. Love that the options are linked to the website.”
