    Hi Alps gurus!

We are on 5 day trip through Lucerne-Lauterbrunnen-Geneva covering Mount Pilatus and Jungfrau as the highlights, wondering which of these options is the right one:

    a) Swiss travel pass

    b) Regional-Pass Berner Oberland

    c) Top of Europe pass

    Hello maneka!

Since you’re traveling throughout Switzerland, a regional pass such as the Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland (https://www.myswissalps.com/regionalpassberneseoberland) or the Top of Europe Pass is not the obvious choice. You’re probably better off with a pass that’s valid in all of the country.

The Swiss Travel Pass is the easiest and most flexible one. You can hop on and off trains, buses and boats in the entire country without needing tickets. You could consider a 4-day Swiss Travel Pass, plus a Saver Day Pass on the fist or last day. You’ll find all details below:

A 6-day Swiss Travel Pass could also be worth its money, even though you’ll be making a 5-day trip.

The Swiss Half Fare Card can work too. It’s less flexible though as you’ll have to get discounted ticket for each and every trip:

If you want to be certain which pass is most economical, you should make a detailed list of all of your travel plans and then calculate as explained here: https://www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/chooserailpass.

    Does this get you started?
