Good Evening..

I have a Swiss half fare card. I Planned to travel From Interlaken to Montreux in Golden Pass train.

How should I buy tickets and make sear reservations of a seat? What all trains I need to book.

Thanks,

Have you read this Golden Pass Line (www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass).

The only leg on which reservations are normally recommended is Zweisimmen to Montreux. See www.mob.ch/en/reservat ion-procedure.

If you are travelling prior to 2 June you can’t book that leg anyway due to construction and short bus detour.

Thanks..

I am in Switzerland between May 25th and May 31.

If I want to travel from Interlaken to Montreux in Golden Pass train, what all trains should I book? I understand that there is no direct/single train .

I read that for Zweisimmen to Montreux leg, we need to travel in bus for short distance.

You can book any train running the Golden Pass route if you wish:

Lucerne to Interlaken
Interlaken to Zweisimmen
Zweisimmen to Montreux (this section has construction on it with the bus transfer - until June 1 no reservations are possible)

Rockoyster left you the link to make reservations if you wish to.

You really don’t need to “book”. Just buy tickets at Interlaken station. Tickets don’t sell out.

Yes exactly.

During construction it is a bit of luck getting the panoramic trains between Zwesimmen and Montreux unfortunately - but they all follow the same route.

Hi Santhosh,

You might want to check out this thread to improve your chances of getting a panoramic train from Zweisimmen.

You can buy tickets at any station or on-line. You don’t need to buy at the station you depart from.

You only need a single ticket from Interlaken to Montreux via Zweisimmen. That ticket will be good for all day. You can stop anywhere along the route and recommence your journey on a later train if you feel like it.

Thanks..

One more thing for any train journey.. E-ticket is fine?

Means If I show the ticket on mobile phone, is it fine? or a print out of the ticket is needed?

If you buy the ticket with the SBB Mobile app it will be fine. It has a barcode to scan. I'm not 100% sure about displaying a PDF on the screen. There has been discussion in this before but I can't remember the outcome. I only ever used the SBB App.

Whatever the answer make sure your phone battery is well charged before you set off.🤓
