Golden Pass Montreux to Lucerne best views

    Traveling from Montreux to Lucerne on the GoldenPass. Which side of train offers the best views.

    • Montreux – Zweisimmen,
    • Zweisimmen – Interlaken Ost,
    • Interlaken Ost – Lucerne

    So traveling in the direction of Montreux to Lucerne, the left side offers some better views through portions of the journey.

    Both…!

    On all the lines you mention, it is roughly equal. Howerver in the case of Zweisimmen – Interlaken, it splits almost exactly in half: Zweisimmen – Spiez sit on the right (as the line mainly hugs the north side of the Simme valley); Spiez – Interlaken sit on the left as the line follows the south shore of the Thunersee
