Hi Adri,
You can travel by train from Bern to Jungfraujoch in about 3 hours (with 3 or 4 train changes).
You can search for the train schedules here.
Are you going to have a Swiss rail pass while you are in Switzerland? Or are you just looking to buy a ticket to Jungfraujoch only?

Hi Lucas, we will probably buy a ticket to Jungfrau only. I have looked at the Half Card pass, would that be a good idea, or do you think a ticket to Jungfrau would be better?

Hi Adri,
One isn’t better than the other. You would buy both the Jungfraujoch ticket AND the Swiss Half Fare Card or just the Jungfraujoch ticket.
If you buy the Swiss half fare card, you then get 50% off the cost of the ticket to Jungfraujoch as well as 50% off tickets on all trains in Switzerland.
So choosing to buy the Swiss half fare card depends on how may train and boat trips you plan on making while in the country…to make it worth spending 120chf.

Without a Swiss Half Fare Card you would pay CHF 268.80, so it’s worth it to get the card and pay only half of that. You can print the Swiss Half Fare Card at home, it will be e-mailed to you within 1-3 business days. Please see myswissalps.com/swissh alffarecard/price.

Thanks you very much for all the info. Can you also purchase the Half Fare card at the train station?

Hi Adri,
You can buy Swiss Half Fare Cards at rail stations yes, It is just much easier to buy online and print at home (no lines! and you have a back up copy).
