Mid July crowd on Swiss trains

Hi.

I am planning to visit Switzerland in second and third week of July 2022.. I will be travelling with swiss travel pass ( second class ).... I was wondering if it gets too crowded in mid july season that its is difficult to get seats in second class... Confused if 1st class is needed incase Getting seat is the only priority...

July is usually a busy month, so finding seats on trains might be a bit more difficult than in other months. First class is usually less crowded than the second class. Did you know that you can check the 'Occupancy rate' of the trains? If you visit the SBB timetable, it will show you each route and each train. 3 red people sign means highly occupied. See the attached screenshot.

If you see that a train will be crowded, then you can take the next train.
