We have a party of four traveling from Lugano to Luzern tomorrow. We have four day first class passes. We would like to travel the Gotthard Panorama Express.

Is a reservation required? When we view the timetable it does not provide an option. Please explain.

    Thank you

Hi Fish, and welcome to MySwissAlps,

You do need reservations for that train. Please find details here: http://www.myswissalps.com/go tthardpanoramaexpress/ tickets

Since this is on short notice I recommend to go to the station tomorrow morning, well before the train departs. I don’t expect the train to be fully booked in October, so they can probably sell you last minute reservations.

    Enjoy the ride!

“It was amazing, Switzerland is small but so much to see and it can be overwhelming to try to plan a weeks holiday and feel able to get the balance right. Our itinerary met all our requests. Annika’s personal approach is a breath of fresh air.”

You can try reserving seats at bit.ly/2HHB2Ev. You need to enter Lugano to Flüelen via Göschenen departing 09:23.

Failing that you can connect with the steamer using a regular train operating on the same route. Use the SBB Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) to plan your travel and make sure you include via Göschenen.
