    Hi all

I’m from Malaysia (average weather 30 degree C). Planning a day trip to Mount Titlis from Zurich in Mid April 2018.

My concern will be the outfit that I need as I will be travelling to italy too during that time and since it is spring im not bringing thick jackets.

Do I need down jacket to go up Mount titlis or will long john+wool turtle neck sweater+ Scarf and a wind breaker do the trick?

    Hi Nanthini,

I would imagine your planned layers will be just fine for Mt. Titlis in the spring. It is possible it gets below 0 degrees but I would guess closer to 5 or 7 degrees – but of course you can never predict the weather.

In the end it will depend also on how long you plan to be outside / activities there you plan to do as well. If you are just wanting to look around or an hour or two it shouldn’t be an issue at all.

If Mount Titilus will be about 5-7 degrees, what would it be at Lucerne the same day.

    Thanks

    Hi Wallaby Bob,

I would say around 9 or 10 degrees. But to Lucas’ point, it’s hard to predict.

    Hi Wallaby Bob,

Our page http://www.myswissalps.com/we ather explains how much the temperature may differ between locations at different altitudes. This is a possibility however, not a guarantee. So in this case an 18 °C difference is possible.
