We are going from Paris to Murren on July 3 and are looking for economical train tix. Once in Switzerland we are planning on using a half-fare pass or the Bernese Regional Pass. It looks like there are promo fares from Paris to Bern. Would it make sense to do that and then use the pass to travel from Bern to Murren?

Hi dahawk7843,

Yes, that sounds like a good combination. Take a discounted TGV Lyria ticket to get to Bern, and a Swiss Half Fare Card or Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland for your further traveling.

Have fun!
