Hello Friends,

Can anyone advise me if Mount Pilatus Golden Round trip can combine with Mount Rigi in one full day?

If so, how can i do it?

Hi Jerry,

Yes, that’s possible. Here’s an option:

• Travel to Alpnachstad from Lucerne. You can do so by boat, which is the official Golden Round Trip (https://www.myswissalps.com/pilatus), or by train if you want to save some time.
• Get up to Pilatus, and after your visit travel down to Kriens: https://www.myswissalps.com/pilatus/gettingthere.
• Take a bus to the railway station of Lucerne and get to the boat dock, which is right across the station.
• Board a boat to Vitznau (https://www.myswissalps.com/boatlakelucerne) and travel up to Rigi. Get down via Rigi Kaltbad and the cable car to Weggis, or travel down via Alpnachstad. Then get back to Lucerne. Of course you can take any of the routes to and from Rigi as described here: https://www.myswissalps.com/rigi/gettingthere. Just pick whatever appeals to you most and play around with the timetable: https://www.myswissalps.com/timetable.
