Hello Yshu krishna,
Which of the museums included in the Swiss Travel Pass are worth seeing depends strongly on your interests. Could you share some of them in order to get better recommendations?!
Please find detailed input on the Swiss Travel Pass, incl. a list of all included museums, below as well as details on the Swiss Half Fare Card.

I think the choice of rail pass should not be dominated by the museums included, unless you plan to visit many of them. The best rail pass for you depends mainly on your detailed itinerary. Find a helpful step-by-step instruction below (don’t miss the spreadsheet for detailed calculations).

One museum I would definitely recommend is the Swiss Museum of Transport, the most frequently visited museum of the country, located in the city of Lucerne.

Hope this provides some input. Get back to us anytime with further details.
Best,
Steph

Which museums etc you should visit will depend largely on your interests as Steph says but largely on your itinerary. For example I would guess nearly everyone who travels to Montreux would visit Chillon Castle. For a list of options look here.

If you have a mild rainy day, I’d recommend seeing the Ballenberg Open Air Museum that has actual historical homes from different regions of Switzerland in a beautiful, natural setting.

Since you don’t have too much time, best to focus on the outdoors and mountains which are the best parts of Switzerland. We dropped in several art museums, but they’re not world class as in other countries. The best among the ones I saw was the Kunsthaus Zurich, which has an extensive collection of Giacometti’s work.

We have visited both the Transport Museum and Chillon. Depending upon your interests and time, they are worth seeing. i’ve also been to the UN in Geneva and several smaller museums there which I wouldn’t recommend.

If we are talking about art museums, The Rosengart Collecton in Luzern, the Rietberg in Zürich, Römerholz in Winterthur, and the Beyeler in Basel are all world class. Basel is well known for its museums. The Paul Klee center in Bern probably is, although I’ve not been to it.
There are many other kinds of museums…I find some small ones to be interesting from a cultural standpoint if I happen upon one, but I don’t go out of my way to visit them.
