Travelling in September in Switzerland. Some panoramic trains eg Golden Pass need reservations. Should we book now or can it be done a few days before the travel date? Thanks.
Hi Jocelyn, welcome to MySwissAlps!
Seat reservations aren't required for the Golden Pass, but they are for the Glacier Express and the Bernina Express. September is no longer tourist high season, although some trains may still be crowded (especially the Glacier Express). So if you want to make sure, you can best arrange for your seats online in advance. Please see www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass/tickets, www.myswissalps.com/gl acierexpress/tickets and www.myswissalps.com/be rninaexpress/tickets for more information and links to the appropriate booking websites. You can also pick one of the resellers listed at www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/reservations/price. If you need a rail pass (www.myswissalps.com/sw issrailpasses) too, try to buy both your rail pass and seat reservations in one order from the same reseller, e.g. www.raileurope-world.com or www.raileurope.com.au.
