Short summary – read this first

    Hello all,

I am planning to go to Switzerland in July. I am not interested to go to Jungfraujoch. But very much interested to take the train and Cable car.

I have few questions to ask.

Please let me know if you have any information regarding this.

I am planning to take saver day pass for 1 day. With that pass :

    1. Can I travel from Interlaken to Grindelwald Terminal ?

    2. Will I get the discount on Eiger Express from Grindelwald First to Eigergletscher ? If no discount, then how much is the price ?

    3. From Eigergletscher, Can I come back via train route (Kleine Scheidegg) using the same Saver Day Pass to Interlaken ?

    4. Will the saver day pass will work on the Lauterbrunnen to Wengen Cable Car ?

Please let me know if you know anything about these details.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shreysaxena1,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

    1. Yes, the Saver Day Pass is valid for travel between Interlaken to Grindelwald Terminal.

    2. The Saver Day Pass is not valid on the Eiger Express. You will have to pay the full fare to travel to Eigergletscher on the Eiger Express. Currently a regular ticket for a round trip from Grindelwald Terminal to Eigergletscher is CHF64.

    3. The Saver Day Pass is also not valid for travel to Eigergletscher via the cogwheel train from Wengen. It is only valid between Interlaken and Wengen/Grindelwald.

    4. The Saver Day Pass is valid between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen but not on the cable car to Männlichen.

You can find more details about the Saver Day Pass including validity and how to use here: http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass (click on the respective tabs).

    Hope this helps.

    regards,

    Anna
