i have a question regarding swiss rail pass.

we are a family of 5 travelling to switzerland this june/July 2017.

would it be better to get a swiss rail pass if we are doing a few of our day trips via viator ?

we are spending 3 nights in Zurich, 2 nights in lucerne, 3 nights in interlaken and the final night back in Zurich as we have an early morning flight.

We shall be doing a guided day trip in each of the destinations .

I'm just a little confused about the rail pass .

any help shall be appreciated.

thank u,

Hi ameena,

Thanks for joining MySwissAlps! You can only tell which pass is best once you've listed all trips you'll be making by public transportation. Then you can start calculating and comparing the options as explained at myswissalps.com/train/ ticketspasses/practica l/chooserailpass. In your case I advise to look into the Swiss Travel Pass Flex, which can cover trips on the days you don't use guided tours, or the Swiss Half Fare Card, which offers a 50% discount on all trips. Please find details through the links below:

All day trips, including Viator guided tours, can be found at myswissalps.com/activi ties.
