Hello there! It’s me againπŸ˜…. When we bought the STP for 8 days , my 12 y/o was entitled for a free ticket. She has a printable ticket with a QR code like the rest of us. Does this mean I don’t have to pay for a child ticket when we buy mountain excursions to the Schiltorn, and Matterhorn? Also, is it ok to buy tickets the day of our trip? I have learned from this forum that weather might affect our trip so even if we plan to go up the mountain tomorrow that might not be the case. We can just buy them at the stations right? I am also asking if this is the same for the First Flyer, First Glider, and Toboggan trips we are planning. Thank you and I hope you won’t get tired of my questions πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—.

    Hi SamIam,

that is right. As you have a Swiss Travel Pass, your 12 years old has received the Swiss Family Card for free. With that pass he/she can travel for free with you, there is no need to get an extra ticket for him/her. Learn more about the Swiss Family Card: http://www.myswissalps.com/swissfamilycard

Yes, for the mountain trip we recommend buying the tickets on the spot or maximum 1 day in advance, after you’ve checked the weather forecast. For the extra activities on the top, like First Flyer, you can buy the ticket there too – ask at the counter in Grindelwald.

And at least, we are here to help, and please feel free to ask if you have further questions. πŸ™‚

“The service was very fast to provide the itinerary and it gave things to do that I had not otherwise found. Overall the service and itinerary were very impressive.”

Thank you Ildiko. We will just present her tickets when we buy our tickets. We are grateful for this group! πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—
