Things to do in appenzell

hello

it's been suggested to me to spend a few days in appenzell. it looks like a beautiful area and the gold card the hotels offer seem to be a good deal for taking the gondolas, doing hiking etc. i'd be there early may. advice?

Hi dvorahlynne, and welcome to this forum! Although I'm not that familiar with the Appenzell area, I do know it's a lovely region with lots of things to see and do. You may even have some chance of snow on the mountain tops when visting in early May. There are several cable cars (most of which are open by the beginning of May) up to viewing points and you can easily make a trip to the Bodensee. Unfortunately, I can't give tips based on personal experience. I suggest that you visit the Appenzell Tourism website, where numerous hiking tips and sightseeing options are listed.
