    Hi dipchat995,

Welcome to Myswissalps . Good that you liked my report.

Our base location was Luzern and hence i am giving you an account based on that . We did visit Wengen but no major purchases done.

Food : We stayed in an apartment and hence did our cooking . Groceries from Migros and COOP. Luzern Bahnhof COOP serves Cooked Basmati and Subzi /chicken tikka etc . We were vegetarians and hence had some concerns eating the readymade sandwiches offered by COOP / MIGROS as it did contain meat.

(Kanchi Indian Restaurant,Zürichstr. 4 (Löwenplatz) ,CH-6004 Luzern, Switzerland (the Indian restaurant near the lion monument is also pretty costly) .

At Engelberg ,Bollywood restaurant serves Vada Pav /Idli / Masala chai . The rates were about 7 to 8 cHF for the snacks and 4CHF for tea.

At top Jungfrau – Masala Chai was 3 CHF.

At Mt. Titilis, they serve a la carte Indian food ,which we can weigh and eat. It was approx 4 CHF for 100gms .(plate weight was not excluded ).So it would be appro 17 CHF for a plate of rice/subzi/dahi .

Weather : It was very pleasant. We had a normal pullover and socks. At nights it became little cold especially if you are on a boat. Else we had no issues at all. Only at Jungfrau and Mt. Titilis did we use our gloves/head gear etc.

Please refer to the links in this site for the weather conditions just before you travel.

    Hope this helps.

    Suganthy
