Hello ,

My Name is Neeraj and i am visiting Swiss on 26th June , 2016 . I am planning to Visit Mt. Pilatus on 29th June . My Base will be Interlaken . I have read many forums for traveling to Pilatus to and Fro but bit confused . As per my Understanding , I have to take Train from Interlaken to Alpnachstad . Then from there I have to take Cogwheel train to Pilatus .

Now while coming Back will take Cable car down to Fräkmüntegg and then by gondola down to Kriens . Now here I have to take train back from Kriens to Interlaken ?? Can you please guide here

Also , Can you suggest me about Lucern . Any Place to visit here?

Thanks

Neeraj

Hi Neeraj, and welcome!

All of that is correct. Kriens to Lucerne will be a city bus, then you'll take the train back to Interlaken. You'll find all details here: myswissalps.com/ pilatus /gettingthere.

You're welcome! No, there's no train stop in Kriens, hence the bus.

Please see myswissalps.com/ lucerne.

Or you can take the cable car on your way up from Luzern. Its a fun 35 mins journey on the first part, then another 10 mins on the 2nd part...... While on your way down, you can take the Cogwheel and the boat / bus ride.

Hi,

Lucerne has a few things that are well worth doing. Walking along the Ruess towards the lake is very pretty and you can cross over at the Kappelbrüke, a famous bridge. The Lion Monument is another popular attraction. It's a monument to the Swiss Guards who were killed during the French revolution. The Transport Museum (Verkehrshaus) is fascinating. You get to it on an old paddle steamer which is worth the trip, all by itself. And there is always shopping. If you like watches, go to Bucherer. It's watch heaven.

Hi Neeraj.

The time table:

www.myswissalps.com/ti metable

and this map linked below will help you understand the journey (s) better.

I have turned on (under points of interest) the icons for public transport.
