Hi Jayy123-
The Swiss are pretty good at understanding their country, and the vagaries of weather created by the topography of the country.
This link should help quite a bit:
Also, try MeteoSchweiz:

“It was amazing, Switzerland is small but so much to see and it can be overwhelming to try to plan a weeks holiday and feel able to get the balance right. Our itinerary met all our requests. Annika’s personal approach is a breath of fresh air.”

UserInactive77267 postsReply 2 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 6:42:02 #865497Thank you slowpoke! I tried using this link, but when I enter a particular location, say jungfraujoch, the drop-down list says ‘location not found’. Where do I search for such locations? (Sorry was just a bit confused) 🙈
UserInactive77267 postsReply 3 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 7:03:51 #865498Hi Jay,
Which search box are you using? You need to scroll down slightly and use the box labeled PLZ oder Ort (postal code or place) and enter Jungfraujoch – should work fine. 🙂

UserInactive77267 postsReply 4 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 7:31:29 #865499I’m still having a problem with it Lucas. I’ve attached a screen shot. Please help me with it.
Reply 5 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 7:53:14 #865500Have you tried this website version at http://www.meteoswiss.admin.c h/home.html?tab=overview
3801 Jungfraujoch works for me on that and on the MeteoSwiss app on an iPad/iPhone.
UserInactive77267 postsReply 6 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 8:04:54 #865501Again the same problem on the website, rockoyster. The app worked well! But I’m thinking of relying on Google weather lol. It clearly tells you the % chances of rains and it’s a lot easier. Hope it’s reliable. Thank you!

You might want to keep an eye on http://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/live/weather/
Also http://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/live/webcams/ show you what’s actually happening up there.
Hope you get a sunny day
UserInactive77267 postsReply 8 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 9:48:34 #865503Hi Rockoyster-
Thanks for the link.
I had forgotten about it when they redesigned the trail information a year or so ago so that it was no longer useful for me, but that weather page is great.
The webcam shows a remarkable absence of snow at Männlichen for the middle of June

UserInactive77267 postsReply 9 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 10:25:33 #865504Strange Jay, I don’t have any issues with the website either.
Between google and the official Jungfrau page from Rockoyster you will be fine though!

The short term forecast is right here on MySwissAlps at myswissalps.com/weathe r/forecast. It’s the same one as shown daily on TV channel SRF1 at 7:55 PM.
UserInactive77267 postsReply 12 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 19:55:50 #865507Thank you everyone!
Arno, I did try out checking the forecast on this site itself, but again there’s something wrong with it (I’m sure it’s just my phone that has this problem). I’ve attached a screen shot. Do let me know if you can help me fix that :p
Reply 13 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 20:50:03 #865508Hi Arno,
The forecast doesn’t display on an iOS device. Does the page use Flash?
Reply 14 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 22:10:24 #865509Just checked the weather page on a Mac and it does use Flash. That’s probably the problem with your phone Jayy – it does not have Flash plugin.
UserInactive77267 postsReply 15 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 22:16:10 #865510Hi Rock Oyster-
I’m not a Mac expert, but I though that Steve Jobs or someone at Apple stated that Flash was too much of a security risk, and they would not support it…..?
Or, is that ancient history?
Slowpoke
Reply 16 of 19 • 21 June 2017 at 22:24:17 #865511No, not ancient history Slowpoke. Flash is on its death bed and rapidly being replaced by more modern technologies
Reply 17 of 19 • 22 June 2017 at 17:19:35 #865512Yes, Flash is definitely old technology. Unfortunately that’s still the only way they share their weather forecast as far as I know.
UserInactive77267 postsReply 18 of 19 • 22 June 2017 at 17:33:20 #865513Hi Arno-
Since i do not have the privilege of Apple’s watching out for my health and safety, I am still able to see the information on my PC.

UserInactive77267 postsReply 19 of 19 • 22 June 2017 at 21:00:06 #865514Thank you rockoyster 👍 maybe I should try with the flash app?
