My girlfriend and I are staying in Lauterbrunnen in early May for a few days. Found out the Wengen-Mannlichen cable won’t be running, anyone know how else we can make the same journey?

Also, are all cable cars not running in early May?

Really grateful for any advice!

The Wengen to Männlichen cable way recommences operation on 11 May.

For other cableways check the SBB Timetable (bit.ly/2HH1U7B) for your chosen travel days. If it shows a connection then it is ooerating. If you are not familiar with using the timetable it will pay to first read the instructions on this page – http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable.

As Rockoyster says the Männlichen will only be open from the 11th om May onwards.

Hey rockoyster! Thank you so much for the quick response. I will definitely need to read those links you have sent.

+ Have you any idea how much of a hassle it will be if we come whilst the cable car is not working? As in, are the alternative routes very long?

Hi Steph, thank you very much for responding. Yes, fingers crossed there is a nice alternative that doesn’t take a long time! lol

The only way to get to Männlichen is to hike from Kleine Scheidegg. Unlikely to be possible early May.
