Hi…my husband and I will be traveling by train to Switzerland from Paris at the end of June. We are unsure of what pass we should get. We are staying in Grindelwald and have plans to travel to Jungfrau, Interlaken, and anywhere else you may suggest. We will be there for 3 full days (not including travel). We will then leave Switzerland for Cinque Terre. Any suggestions on the pass we should purchase would be greatly appreciated…or anything we must do during our visit! Thank you!

    Hello lyndseyb24, welcome to MySwissAlps!

A Swiss Transfer Ticket Combi includes a transfer from the French border (Basel) to Grindelwald, a transfer from Grindelwald to the Italian border (Domodossola) and a 50% discount on tickets you need during your 3 days. So that might be an option. If you prefer unlimited traveling without buying tickets (most of the time), a Jungfrau Travel Pass or Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland suits your plans. You can best first finalize your plans and then pick a pass. This page will be helpful.

I would not spend too much time on Interlaken, but rather plan trips to the lakes or into the mountains. If the weather is not good enough for such trips, a day to Bern or Lucerne is a good alternative. Please see here for more suggestions: myswissalps.com/ jungfrauregion/ activities.

    Thank you!

We will come up with a more detailed itinerary and go from there.
